ABOUT US
Beneath The Crystal Chandelier
Chandelier Productions is a theatre production company founded in 2015 by singer, stage manager and producer, Tiana Chandler. At just 22 years old, Tiana saw the need for more opportunities for young performers and others in the creative industry and launched Chandelier Productions as a platform for them to be seen and heard. Chandelier Productions features mostly up and coming performers on stage, but also features young, rising stars behind the scenes on its production team.
Chandelier Productions’ inaugural concert, Theatre Night Out, was held at Queen’s Hall in 2015. This concert featured several musical theatre pieces expertly punctuated with dance and spoken word. Since then, Tiana has produced 4 other concerts at major venues across the country. In 2016 Chandelier Productions held 2 concerts featuring individual artistes. The first, A Breath of Fresh Air, was hosted at SAPA and featured then 18-year-old composer and singer, Michael Hudlin as he premiered several original compositions and arrangements performed by young singers. The second, The Christmas Things We Do, featured veteran soprano, Michele Dowrich who wanted to share and expand the work she does with students. Michele shared the Naparima Bowl stage with some of her past and present students at the time. Chandelier Productions returned to its flagship production in 2017 with Theatre Night Out II at SAPA. This production featured dramatic presentations of musical theatre favourites by exceptional vocalists who also executed choreography by young dancer and choreographer, Trevorn Cudjoe. In 2018, Chandelier Productions ventured to the Government Campus Plaza Auditorium to produce Fresh featuring south based vocalist Kevin Humphrey. This was Kevin’s first full length solo concert and included dance and spoken word from guest performers. Tiana, the producer behind Chandelier Productions, hopes to continue to use the company to provide performance opportunities to showcase the wealth of talent in Trinidad and Tobago.
